Everything published on rankifyxpert.com is provided for general information and practical use. That includes the Aspect Ratio Calculator, the explanations written around it, and any examples given on the site.

We put real effort into keeping the tools correct and the explanations accurate, and we fix mistakes when we learn about them. Even so, we cannot promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors, and nothing on this site should be treated as a guarantee of any particular outcome.

This site is run by a small independent operator. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any camera manufacturer, display manufacturer, software company or social media platform mentioned on it. Product and platform names are used only to describe where certain aspect ratios are commonly found.

2. Calculator accuracy

The Aspect Ratio Calculator uses standard arithmetic: it reduces a width and height by their greatest common divisor, and divides one by the other to give a decimal value. The method is straightforward and it is tested against known dimensions before changes go live.

There are still limits worth understanding:

  • Results depend on your input. The tool cannot tell whether the numbers you typed are the right ones. A mistyped dimension produces an answer that looks perfectly confident and is wrong.
  • Displayed values are rounded. Simplified ratios are exact, but calculated dimensions and decimal ratios are rounded for display, so a figure may differ very slightly from an unrounded calculation.
  • Close is not the same as exact. When a result is near a standard ratio without matching it, the tool says “close to” rather than treating it as a match. That wording is deliberate, and the decimal value is the more precise number to work from.
  • Software may disagree. Some applications and devices describe dimensions using their own rounding or marketing conventions, so a figure shown elsewhere may not match ours exactly.
